Andrea’s nickname, “Animal”, aptly describes Andrea’s tenacity as a water woman.  Andrea grew up sailing and windsurfing on the Brazilian island Ilhabela.  By the age of 17, Andrea was one of the top windsurfers in Brazil. She moved to Maui to compete in the U.S. National Windsurfing Competition.   Andrea’s passion for extreme water sports led her to competitive outrigger canoe paddling and surfing.  She is the first and only woman to paddle in at the powerful wave of Peahi – Jaws.  …. She paddled across the Molokai-Oahu channel thirty times in ten years winning many 1st place medals and records times.  She is a multi-water sport athlete achieving amazing goals on Surfing, tow-in surfing, six-man, one-man outrigger canoe and stand-up paddling.  Andrea works as an emergency Technician in the Ambulances of Maui and is also the proud mother of a little girl named Keala.
